DRONE(((E)))SCAPES is a personal project of mine and is a series of long-form audio collages within the drone space. I was inspired to start these early in the pandemic after continued headaches and paresthesias that seemed to numb and subside whenever I listened to Éliane Radigue. Her music has inspired me to explore the drone realm more than just through listening but through learning to create within it—with each one better than the last (I hope). I am not a musician, so these were formed from a pure need to create and carve out more time for rest, with something rich to listen to. I hope to continue to expand on these and maybe even push them into something new.
